MSS currently uses the 2021 version (pdf) which under review for adoption.
The Faculty, Staff, and Student Handbook provides operational guidance for Maris Stella School. Two versions, 2017 and 2021, co-exist:
- The 2017 version seems to be the official document
- The 2021 version was developed by MSS recently to update and address various issues.
- This version has not been reviewed or approved by the Board.
- According to some teachers, this version is currently being used by MSS.
MSS Leadership Team, on 2/10/23, specified that the 2021 version will be used during the upcoming policy reviews.
Policy reviews were launched at the MSS General Meeting on 2/2/23 with the formation of groups to work on governance, handbooks, manuals, etc. The handbook will be reviewed and revised by the Handbook Review Group.
All things considered, it makes sense as of 2/10/23 that MSS should use the 2021 version to guide its operations until the Board approves a new version.
